Instructor: Phil Newsome ====

Phil Newsome is a casting director with Altair Casting and Production Services, and was formerly a talent agent, with years of experience in the acting and film industry. Phil has conducted auditions, taught workshops, coached actors, managed top industry professionals, cast for film, television, and commercials, at the local, regional and national levels. Phil also has an extensive resume as a professional actor and director.

Phil Newsome trained in New York at the famed American Academy of Dramatic Arts, holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Western Illinois University, did graduate work in acting at California State University, Los Angeles, and in directing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He studied privately in New York with Sonia Moore, and in Los Angeles with Jeff Corey.
