In addition to casting, Ann Guill is a Winston-Salem attorney and instructor of dance and drama. She has an extensive background in dance, directing and casting, with emphasis on working with children, teens and those with special needs.
Ann has recently returned to her first love, ballroom dancing. As Site Director of "Dancing Classrooms/North Carolina Pilot" and Executive Director of "Take the Lead North Carolina." Ann is changing the lives of students through the medium of ballroom dance, and promoting the academic and social success of elementary and middle school students. She is strengthening our community by providing a solid foundation for building confidence, social skills, awareness and respect for others, and for teamwork and cultural differences. She has successfully integrated "Dancing Classrooms" into the curricula at several Forsyth County schools and the Children's Home.
Taking her commitment to our community one step further, Ann recently partnered with the Bethesda Center for the Homeless to create "Take the Lead/Winston-Salem." a ballroom dancing competition and very successful fundraising event.
Ann has conducted numerous auditions, taught workshops and dance/drama classes, choreographed, directed and cast for stage and screen. She studied dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a JD from Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley. She was a founding member of the UNC-Chapel Hill student Dance Theatre and is the owner of Avalon Cotillions, LLC and social dance after-school program for children in grades 5-10.
Phil was formerly a talent agent with Actors and Entertainers, Inc., a company he founded. He has years of experience in the business, and has conducted auditions, taught workshops and classes, guest lectured, coached actors, and managed top industry professionals, cast for film, television, industrials, commercials and stage at the local, regional, and national levels.
He has an extensive resume as an actor and director. Phil trained in New York at the famed American Academy of Dramatic Arts, holds an AA degree from Manatee Junior College, a BA in theatre performance from Western Illinois University, did graduate work in acting at California State University, Los Angeles and in directing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He studied privately in New York with Sonia Moore, and in Los Angeles with Jeff Corey.
