"Looking back, I can't imagine having made The 5th Quarter in the extended Winston-Salem area without the endless contributions made by Ann and Phil. Although initially brought on board to cast the film's extras - an enormous job which ranged from smaller, dramatic scenes to filling Wake Forest's BB&T football stadium, Ann and Phil's support of the film also included the casting of some principal actors, assembling the recreation football team, and providing production facilities for staff, the wardrobe and art departments, and interior stage production. And their involvement with, and commitment to the film continues today with respect to the marketing and promotion of the film in advance of its North Carolina theatrical release."
